Austin Center RADIATION Oncology

Transportation to and from The Austin Center for Radiation Oncology can sometimes be difficult for patients and their families. We believe that transportation should never be a barrier between our patients and quality medical care. Below are a number of free or discounted options for transportation that may be helpful.

Austin Parks & Recreation: Provides round-trip rides for $6 (per person).

C.A.R.T.S. (Capital Area Rural Trasportation System): Provides non-emergency medical transportation for a standard fee. Persons with disabilities may be entitled to discounts.  Medicaid and patients on Texas Health Steps may qualify for free transit.

Ride Guide: Drive a Senior Volunteers. There is no charge for this service, but clients will pay any parking lot fees. This service is available to seniors that still live independently. Volunteers are not able to transport wheelchairs but are able to bring one to the car if it is available at the care facility.

Road to Recovery- American Cancer Society:  Rides are coordinated through the American Cancer Society utilizing volunteer drivers. Apply by phone. Requires 3 days advanced notice.
